1. Your name—Alida Draudt
2. When and where were you born??? 1985 right here in Portland!
3. Where did you go to college? Did you play there? Played for Bowdoin College (D-wing)
4. When did you start playing lacrosse? Started playing lax in 8th grade with the West Sylvan guy’s team, and transitioned to girls when I helped start the Lincoln Girls program
5. Why do you play lacrosse? I play lax because it is challenging, fun, and the best blend of athleticism and skill of any sport I know.
6. Where have you traveled because of lacrosse? During college I played up and down the East coast, but I have also traveled with my women’s team to Vail and Hawaii along with pretty much everywhere on the West coast.
7. Do you have a pre-game tradition? Look good, feel good, play good. (not the most grammatically correct, but it helps me get pumped – that and some electronica).
8. What’s your favorite food? probably cheese. After a game – most definitely CHOCOLATE MILK
9. What is your number one pump up song?? I listen to a lot of mash ups, but ACDC “Back in Black” never fails!
10. What is the best advise for someone who have never played lacrosse before? Have fun! The rest will follow.
11. Who is/was your biggest lacrosse mentor? Without sounding totally cliche, my mom. She was the one who inspired me to play in the first place.
12. What does the 2010 lacrosse season mean to you? The 2010 season screams awesomeness, hard work, and determination to me. I’m ready for the Lincoln girls to turn some heads!
