Yes it’s cold!! But bundle up and get down to the field for a quick and fun workout!!
Challenge yourself to complete this routine from now until practice starts in February. Won’t it feel great to sprint down the field with ease!! If you cannot attend a session please follow the link to the workout.
Come join us Wednesday, November 16th at 7pm in Room 169 to learn more about the 2012 Lincoln Girls Lacrosse season. All current and new players should attend!!
Lacrosse is expanding so fast in The Northwest that there are many excellent opportunities for you to play outside of the season.
Find something that fits your schedule! Scholarships are available through Lincoln Girls Lacrosse so please don’t let fees stop you.
All off-season lacrosse opportunities will be posted on OGLA’s website: www.oregongirlslax.com
Here are my recommendations:
1.) Summer Rhino Rose (select team). Tryouts June 5th, 12-2pm, Lakeridge HS. Practices and travel National Draw in NJ (end of June) and Cascade Cup in WA (July). If you continue on with the Winter Rhino Rose you will travel to the Sandstorm tournament in January 2012. Rhino also runs summer leagues separate from the select team. Rhino Rose Info
2.) Summer LaxNW Club Teams. These club teams are designed for any high school player at any level. You will practice and play against other summer teams once a week. Fun! Sign-up for PL 1 or 2. You will be grouped with other players from Lincoln and our league. LaxNW Summer Club Teams
3.) LaxNW Rippers (select team). If you are signed up for a LaxNW Summer Club Team you can try out for one of the LaxNW Ripper Teams. Tryouts are during the first two weeks of the league. Practices and travel to Cascade Cup in WA (end of July) and if you continue on to the fall/winter select team you will travel to the Sandstorm Tournament in January 2012. LaxNW Rippers Info
4.) Rhino’s West Linn Academy. June 20-23, 9-4pm. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. This camp will be staffed by local coaches and Katrina Dowd, top player at Northwestern (2007-2010). It is SO COOL that she is here – I’m going to go hang out just to see her play! For all levels/ages (you will be divided by experience) West Linn Academy
5.) Syracuse Camp hosted by Gary Gait. Another awesome opportunity to coached by top players/coaches. July 18-21, 9-3pm. West Linn. All ages and levels.
6.) SENIORS! Come play summer league with the big-wigs! It’s super fun playing once a week. There are recent high school grads to 50 year old ladies. You’ll be assigned a team and we’re all about good times Sign up throughLacrosse Northwest (this will fill fast!)
We are still selling umbrellas at the HS games or HS practices this week. $25 cash or check (to Lincoln Girls Lacrosse). We need to sell more to reach our fund raising goal for this year. See Rob Dortignacq at the game or Adria at practices.
